The McCall Pattern Company is a big contributor to the Sacred Sewing Room Tour. The company provided space in Vogue Patterns to advertise the tour, and it donated patterns and “Wallies” to the rooms. Every “chalkboard” hanging in the rooms is actually a Wallie. Wallies are vinyl wall decals, and the chalkboard Wallies can be written on with chalk. The chalk easily erases, and Sacred Sewing Room instructors can use the Wallie just like a real chalkboard. Chalkboard-type Wallies are also used to label the mason jars that hold buttons, rick rack, and other notions. Additionally, each room has an assortment of Kwik Sew patterns ideal for beginner sewers. The patterns instructions include cute aprons, bags, and more.
In addition to these generous donations, Kathy Marrone, Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Patterns magazine, chose the Sacred Sewing Room program as an Editor’s Note focus. In honor of National Sewing Month, the feature appears in the August/September issue of Vogue Patterns.
Thank you to the entire McCall Pattern Company for your generous donations and continuous support.
